The Denver Family Institute is proud to sponsor Dr. Salvador Minuchin, one of the founders of family therapy to Denver on April 27th and 28th at the Sheraton West, Lakewood, Colorado.
Dr. Minuchin will be presenting "New Developments in Structural Therapy." These are truly new developments as Dr. Minuchin has rethought some of his earlier approaches to families while maintaining the overall elegance and utility of the structural family therapy model. As is his style, Dr. Minuchin will share videotapes of his work using these new approaches.
Dr. Minuchin, a developer of Structural Family Therapy, is internationally reknowned for his dynamic interventions, his sense of humor, and his passion for helping families. His dedication to helping disenfranchised families, and children in foster care resulted in the creation of the Minuchin Center in New York City. It is an honor to have him here in Denver for a two-day conference. Dr. Minuchin will be presenting his 4-step/phase model for family assessment and intervention. Dr. Minuchin will be outlining the new developments in structural theory, showing videotapes of his work, and giving time for questions and answers.
"Special Thanks to the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Denver for their support by sponsoring coffee and rolls for the Minuchin Conference at the Sheraton West Hotel"
The conference center, the Sheraton West, Lakewood, Colorado, near Highway 6 on Simms Blvd. is a wonderful setting for the conference with ample parking and a convenient location. The Sheraton is offering a very low price of $89 dollars a night for out of town attendees. Colorado attendees may want to consider, at that price, staying over on Friday night to turn the Friday and Saturday workshop in to a mini-retreat. Do not miss this rare opportunity to see one of the seminal figures in the mental health field. Registration will be limited due to the overwhelming response we are expecting.
